Milna is a town on the west coast
of the island Brač, on the inner side of the
homonymus bay. Bay Milna (port Milna) with wast outter
and small shallow inner part is the best port on the
island Brač. Along neighbouringcoasts there are
beautifull bays with sand and pebbles beaches (Pasika,
Borova, Lučice, Maslinova, Osibova). Arranged bathing
place is in the Vlaška bay at the left side of port
entrance. Milna is connected with Split by shipping
lines, and by road to all other towns on the island.
Milna was developed at the
beginning of 17th century. Baroque parish church was
built in 1783. The olthar pala «Annunciation» from
the first part of 18th century, and painting «Crusifixion»
in late Renaissance frame in sacristy stand out as the
works of Barouqe painting art. South of Milna, in
Osibova bay, there are the ruins of Gothic shurch of
Saint Joseph.
